West Asian Dynamics and Indias Strategic Imperative

This book comprises a collection of Ambassador Trigunayat's comments and articles on recent developments in our critical extended neighborhood of West Asia over a period of 3-4 years . West Asia is possibly the most important strategic geography for India for energy security, economic growth and expatriates who contribute to both the development of India and their host countries . Present government has rightly accorded highest priority to developing close and strategic ties with several countries in the region especially from the GCC . India has also extended her outreach in regional and sub-regional formats like I2U2, IUSU and IMEEC which was missing .The Book may be of interest to the students of International relations and Civil services aspirants.

Amb Anil Trigunayat (IFS retd) is a former Indian Ambassador to Jordan, Libya and Malta . As a diplomat he served across continents from Africa to Asia to Americas to Europe. He is a regular commentator on foreign and security policy issues. He has a special experience  in serving national interest in several conflict zones. Areas of his special interest are West Asia, Africa and Russia. He is associated with several Thinks Tanks in India and abroad. Currently he heads the West Asia Experts Group at the prestigious Vivekananda International Foundation.  He also heads Millennial India International Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MIICCIA) among several others  helping Indian industry break barriers beyond. As diplomacy essentially entails peace he also is working as Peace Ambassador for Unity Earth, Australia. In 2022 he edited a Book “ Evolving security Dynamic in West Asia and India's Challenges' apart from contributing papers to various publications and journals of repute.
